R-10 Insulation on spa skirt
If a hot tub is not insulated properly, you will easy notice, it takes long time to heat up water, and more energy is used for heating water to the temperature you set, that means you need pay more money to keep hot tub running, obviously it is not practical to own such hot tub.
With over 13years manufacturing experience and years of lab testing, JNJ SPAS found a way to perfected insulated hot tub, especially for The Nordic climate. Except spraying foam at the backside of tub, we also add R-10 insulation on skirt and above tub tray which help lock the heat radiated from electrical parts and transfer to plumbing. Actually these are not enough, because heat mainly escape out the top of hot tub, we now offer R-10 hard cover, it is 5”-4” tapered thickness. As results from our testing, hot tub with R-10 insulation and R-10 hard cover can save 41.3% energy comparing with a hot tub only has thin insulation at shell.
